What to Expect When Booking Hertford Studios

If you’ve never hired a photography or video studio before, it can feel like stepping into the unknown. What do you need to bring? Is someone there to help? Is it just for photographers? How does it actually work

We get these questions all the time — and we totally get it. So, here’s a simple breakdown of what it’s like when you book Hertford Studios.

Spoiler alert: it’s easier than you think 😄

Step 1: Choose Your Space + Time

We’ve designed the studio to work for a mix of people and projects — from brands and content creators to photographers, filmmakers, and small business owners. When you’re ready to book, just decide:

  • Do you want the white infinity cove, the lifestyle area, or both?

  • How long do you need? (We offer hourly, half-day, and full-day hire.)

Need help deciding? Just shout. We’re happy to guide you.

Step 2: Lock It In

Once you’ve chosen your date and time, we’ll get you booked in and send over a simple confirmation with:

  • What’s included

  • Directions + parking info (yes, we have free parking!)

  • Studio rules (nothing scary — just the helpful stuff!)

You can book online, via email, or just give us a call. We’re real people, and we like keeping things friendly and flexible.

Step 3: Shoot Day!

When you arrive at the studio, one of us will be here to greet you and show you around.

You’ll have full access to your space for the duration of your booking, and we’re always nearby if you need anything — whether that’s help moving lights, setting up a backdrop, or just making a good coffee

Do I Need to Bring a Photographer or Can I Just Use the Space?

Totally up to you. You can:

  • Bring your own team

  • Hire one of our recommended photographers or videographers

  • Shoot your own content (even just using your phone!)

This studio is made for you — whether you're filming a YouTube video, shooting products for your online shop, or grabbing new shots for your website and social media

A Quick Note on Leaving the Space

We ask everyone to leave the studio as they found it — clean and tidy, with any rubbish taken away and props packed up. We want it to feel fresh for every shoot, just like yours did when you arrived!

If you need help with anything before, during, or after, just ask. We're upstairs in our office available to make things easy.

Ready to Book Your First Shoot?

Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned content creator, we’d love to welcome you to Hertford Studios. Our space is designed to inspire and make content creation feel fun, simple, and productive.
